Kaede Ford (b. 1986, Malvern, PA) is an interdisciplinary artist currently living and working in Brooklyn, NY. She attended Pratt Institue and received a BFA in Sculpture. She has performed at the New Museum and continues to exhibit in New York City and Philadelphia.

“Feeling like an outsider, I self-consciously explore the whimsical space of play in an attempt to extract meaning. Allowing my tendencies and impulses to guide me, there is vulnerability and sincerity within these attempts. Finding myself often struggling between intentionality and the unknown, skepticism and love, there is a poetic palette that intrinsically flows from the indecisive in-between.”

Art Vandelay is a publishing project that focuses on exploring the ideas of archive and collection, more precisely the accumulation and loss of information over time.

In those works the final object functions as a means to dignify a content that was previously discarded or lost: the artist is empowered to act as their own historian and to search through their archives for older material.

AV aims at publishing emerging artists employing mediums that are generally underrepresented in print such as
performance, video, installation or sculpture.
